Bhavya Shrivastava

Bhavya is in the second year of PhD in Economics at Trinity College Dublin. Under Prof Michael King's supervision, she is keen to explore key topics in Development Economics such as financial inclusion, women empowerment, and social protection. Before entering her PhD, she was working as a Senior Research Associate (SRA) in the Financial Wellbeing and Social Protection vertical at LEAD at Krea University, India. As an SRA she handled multiple projects on financial inclusion and female labour force participation in India. Amongst her coveted projects was the project pioneered by Prof Michael King and Prof Billy Jack, Georgetown University which studied the impact of innovative credit products on the businesses of female micro-entrepreneurs in two states of India. Bhavya has completed her Master's in International Development at the University of Warwick and her Bachelor's in Economics at Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, India.
